Drug Interactions With Adalimumab

If adalimumab is taken with "live" vaccinations, anakinra, or etanercept, it can cause drug interactions and may lead to problems. Adalimumab drug interactions can cause the body to metabolize the medications differently than intended and can increase your risk of infections or cause you to become infected with the virus or bacteria from the live vaccine.

Anakinra (Kineret)
Taking adalimumab with anakinra can increase your risk of getting an infection. In general, these two medications should not be taken together.
 
Etanercept (Enbrel)
Combining adalimumab with etanercept can increase your risk of getting an infection. In general, these two medications should not be taken together.
