Drug Interactions With Allopurinol

Certain medications may cause potentially serious drug interactions with allopurinol. When medications such as ACE inhibitors, antacids, and diuretics are taken with allopurinol, it can increase your risk of developing serious side effects. Allopurinol can also alter the amounts of certain medications in your blood.
