Information on Azulfidine EN-Tabs

Healthcare providers often prescribe
Azulfidine EN-tabs® (sulfasalazine delayed-release) for the treatment of conditions that cause inflammation. Specifically, this drug is used to treat ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis, and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. These tablets have a special enteric coating, which prevents them from dissolving until they reach the stomach. This can help reduce stomach irritation.

Prior to beginning treatment with Azulfidine EN-tabs, inform your healthcare provider about any allergies you have, as well as any other medical conditions, such as liver or kidney disease, or an intestinal blockage. You should also provide a complete list of your medications, including nonprescription products, vitamins, and supplements. This will help ensure that this is the right product for you.
