Lodine® XL (etodolac extended-release) is a prescription medication used to treat the symptoms of:

The medication is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (more commonly known as an NSAID) that is usually taken once a day. It comes in three different strengths. Your healthcare provider will probably recommend taking the lowest effective dose for the least amount of time in order to treat your condition. This will decrease the chances of developing serious side effects.

Most people have no problems with Lodine XL; however, the drug's safety information should be reviewed so that you are aware of possible side effects (such as heartburn or diarrhea) and know the warning signs of an allergic reaction or other serious problem that requires prompt medical attention.
