Rituximab Drug Information

Rituximab (
 Rituxan®) is a prescription drug licensed to treat the following conditions:
 
Your healthcare provider will administer this drug intravenously. Before starting treatment with rituximab, make sure your healthcare provider has the most up-to-date information on your medical history, including any nonprescription medicines, vitamins, and supplements you are taking. Also, you may not be able to safely use rituximab if you have certain medical conditions, such as any current infection, diabetes, or certain allergies.
 
Most people tolerate this medicine well. If side effects do occur, they are generally mild and are easily treated. Some of the common side effects reported with rituximab include fever, chills, and infections.
