Synvisc injections are administered by your healthcare provider once a week for a total of three weeks. This treatment can provide pain relief for as long as six months. After six months, you may receive a repeat course of Synvisc treatment, if necessary.
You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to receiving this type of
arthritis treatment if you have a swollen leg, ankle, or foot; an infection in or around the knee; or any
allergies, including allergies to birds, food, dyes, or preservatives.
