Arthrotec and Zoloft

If you are using sertraline (Zoloft®), you should talk to your healthcare provider before starting treatment with Arthrotec® (diclofenac/misoprostol). Zoloft is a type of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) and is used to treat a number of conditions that affect the brain, such as depression and panic disorder. However, if you combine Zoloft or other SSRI medications with Arthrotec, it may increase your risk for gastrointestinal bleeding.

To avoid these and other potentially dangerous drug interactions, make sure your healthcare provider has the most current list of all medications, vitamins, and supplements you are taking.

(Click Arthrotec Drug Interactions for a closer look at what could happen if Arthrotec is combined with Zoloft or various other medications. This article provides a detailed list of products that may cause interactions with Arthrotec and describes the complications that could occur.)
