Bile Acid Sequestrants
Bile acid sequestrants can interfere with the absorption of Arthrotec from the digestive tract. If you are taking both Arthrotec and a bile acid sequestrant, try to separate the doses of these two medicines by at least two hours to minimize the risk of this interaction.
Taking Arthrotec with antacids that contain magnesium can increase the risk for diarrhea. If you need an antacid during Arthrotec treatment, make sure to take one that does not contain magnesium. Your pharmacist can help you choose a magnesium-free antacid.
