Dangers of Arthrotec
Although most people who take Arthrotec® (diclofenac/misoprostol) generally tolerate the medication well, there are potential complications that can occur in some people. Some of the possible dangers of Arthrotec include the risk of drug interactions and an increased risk for cardiovascular problems like a heart attack or stroke. Also, women should not take Arthrotec while pregnant, as very dangerous problems like birth defects or abortions could occur.
Some of the other possible complications that Arthrotec may cause include:
- High blood pressure
- Kidney damage
- Liver damage
- Allergic reactions.
Because of the dangers associated with its use, Arthrotec should only be used at the lowest dose that controls symptoms for the shortest amount of time.
