Celebrex 100 Mg Capsules

A healthcare provider may recommend Celebrex® (celecoxib) for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, painful menstruation, acute pain, and many other conditions. The medication is typically taken once a day and is tolerated well by most people. Possible side effects include diarrhea, ulcers, and indigestion.

Celebrex comes in the form of capsules, which are available in the following strengths:

  • Celebrex 50 mg
  • Celebrex 100 mg
  • Celebrex 200 mg
  • Celebrex 400 mg.

The recommend starting dosage of Celebrex capsules for most people is 100 mg to 200 mg a day. However, the amount your healthcare prescribes will be determined based on factors such as the condition being treated, how old you are, and other medications you are taking.

Do not break, chew, or crush the capsules. If necessary, you may open them and sprinkle the contents on a spoonful of cool or room-temperature applesauce. This should be swallowed immediately and followed with water.
