Who Should Not Take Celebrex?

You should not take Celebrex if:
 
  • You are allergic to Celebrex or to any component of celecoxib. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
  • You are allergic to sulfa medicines.
  • You experience an allergic reaction, hives, or asthma after taking aspirin or NSAIDs.
  • You are having or have recently had coronary bypass graft surgery (often known as open heart surgery, bypass surgery, or CABG).
  • You are nursing or in the third trimester of pregnancy.
