Diclofenac Risks

There are certain risks with
 diclofenac that you should be aware of before starting the medication. Although most people tolerate this drug well, as with any medication, side effects are possible. Some of the most common side effects that have been reported with diclofenac include abdominal pain, constipation, dizziness, and indigestion or heartburn.
 
In most cases, side effects of this drug are mild and either do not require medical attention or can be treated easily. However, you should contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience potentially serious problems, such as chest pain, slurred speech, or an unexplained rash.
 
A number of other serious problems have also been reported with diclofenac products. The medicine has been reported to cause problems in the stomach and intestines, including bleeding (known as gastrointestinal bleeding), stomach ulcers, or holes in the stomach or intestines. Diclofenac and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may also cause liver damage, high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, and serious allergic reactions.
