The prescription medication diclofenac is approved for treating a wide variety of different conditions. Depending on the particular product, it may be used for the treatment of arthritis, migraine headaches, pain, or a precancerous skin condition called actinic keratosis. Potential side effects include nausea, headaches, and abdominal pain. This medicine belongs to a class of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which work by blocking a specific enzyme in the body.
