The prescription drug Mobic® (meloxicam) is approved for a number of uses (also called "indications"). For example, it is commonly used to treat pain, inflammation, swelling, or stiffness caused by:
In some cases, Mobic may be used "off-label" for the treatment of:
- Mild to moderate pain, such as back pain, neck pain, or leg pain
- Fibromyalgia symptoms
- Pain or inflammation caused by other conditions.
Mobic can be given to children over the age of two for the treatment of juvenile arthritis symptoms.
