Several products can cause negative drug interactions with Vimovo, including certain diuretics, antifungals, and iron supplements. Some of these interactions could decrease the effectiveness of the medications or increase your risk for potentially serious side effects. To ensure a safe treatment process with Vimovo, tell your healthcare provider about all other medications you are taking, including nonprescription and herbal products.

An Overview of Interactions With Vimovo

Vimovo™ (naproxen/esomeprazole magnesium) is a prescription medication licensed to treat osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. This product may potentially interact with many other medications.
 
Some of the medications that may lead to Vimovo drug interactions include but are not limited to:
 
  • Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE inhibitors), such as:
 
 
  • Certain antifungals, such as:
 
    • Fluconazole (Diflucan®)
    • Itraconazole (Sporanox®)
    • Ketoconazole (Nizoral®)
    • Posaconazole (Noxafil®)
    • Voriconazole (VFEND®)
 
  • Certain diuretics, such as:
 
 
 
 
 
 
      • Alteplase (Activase®)
      • Reteplase (Retavase®)
      • Streptokinase (Streptase®)
      • Tenecteplase (TNKase®)
 
 
  • Some protease inhibitors, such as:
