Generic Mobic

Mobic has come off patent and is now available in generic form. Generic versions of this drug are available in three strengths. The generics are currently produced by a number of different companies, including Zydus Pharmaceuticals, Mylan Pharmaceuticals, and Par Pharmaceuticals.

Mobic® (meloxicam) is a prescription medication that has been licensed to treat several conditions. Some uses of the medication include the relief of:
 
Mobic was originally developed by Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. It has since come off patent, making it available as a generic.
 

Generic Mobic -- Strengths

Generic versions of Mobic are sold under the names Meloxicam tablets and Meloxicam oral suspension (liquid). They are available in several strengths, including:
 
  • Meloxicam 7.5 mg tablets
  • Meloxicam 15 mg tablets
  • Meloxicam 7.5 mg/5mL oral suspension – one teaspoon (5mL) contains 7.5 mg of meloxicam.
