Mobic Dosage: An Introduction

The dose of Mobic® (meloxicam) that your healthcare provider prescribes will vary depending on a number of factors, including:

  • Your age and weight
  • The medical condition you are being treated for
  • Other medical conditions you may have
  • Other medications you may be currently taking.

As always, do not adjust your Mobic dose unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.

Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis
For juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, the recommended Mobic dose is based on weight and is generally 0.125 mg/kg taken once daily. It is also recommended that the liquid form of Mobic be used for smaller children to allow for more accurate dosing.

The maximum recommended daily dosage of Mobic is 7.5 mg.
