Mobic Pain Medicine

Available with a prescription, Mobic® (meloxicam) is a drug used to control pain and reduce inflammation. As a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), Mobic can be used to treat symptoms of several conditions, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.
As a pain medicine, Mobic works by inhibiting the action of certain hormones (prostaglandins) that cause inflammation and pain in the body. It comes in the form of a tablet or liquid.
Although most people tolerate it well, it is not suitable for everyone. Before starting treatment with Mobic, the pain medicine's warnings and precautions should be fully reviewed with your healthcare provider. For example, make sure your healthcare provider is aware of any other medical conditions you may have and any other medications you are taking.
