Piroxicam (Feldene®) is a type of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that has been licensed for relieving signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. It is useful for reducing pain, inflammation, and joint swelling associated with different forms of arthritis. Piroxicam comes as a capsule and is available in both generic and brand-name form. You should talk to your healthcare provider before taking this pain reliever if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure, or have high cholesterol.
