Remicade® (infliximab) is a prescription medication that is given intravenously (through an IV). This medication has been studied in several clinical trials and has been shown to be beneficial for the following conditions:
 
One of the clearest examples of Remicade's benefits comes from a study in which up to 81 percent of those receiving the drug showed improvement in Crohn's disease symptoms, compared to just 16 percent of those not receiving it. The drug also increased the chance of remission, and people using it were more likely to stop taking steroids for Crohn's disease.
