Tylenol and Alcohol

Can I Take Tylenol for a Hangover?

If you regularly consume alcohol (especially three or more drinks per day), it is not a good idea to take Tylenol. Even a few days of drinking (such as a binge-drinking weekend) may increase the risk of liver damage due to this combination. If you want to err on the side of caution, you may want to always avoid using this drug to treat a hangover.

However, other nonprescription pain relievers have their own problems. Many increase the risk of ulcers, upset stomach, or kidney damage. You may want to ask your healthcare provider to recommend the best option for your situation.
