Uses in Children

Uloric has not been adequately studied in children or adolescents under the age of 18 years old. It is not known if Uloric is safe or effective for children.
 

Off-Label Uses for Uloric

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend Uloric for something other than gout (this would be known as an "off-label" use). Based on approved or off-label uses of other medications that are similar to Uloric, it is predicted that Uloric may be used off-label for the following purposes:
 
  • Preventing high uric acid levels due to cancer treatment
  • Preventing recurrent kidney stones in people with high uric acid levels.
